Add Hanging Sleeve to Your Quilt

To aid in displaying quilt, please attach a hanging sleeve to back of quilt. A 4” sleeve could be made using a piece of fabric 8.5” x width of your quilt. Finish ends with ¼” hem turned twice. Next with right sides together stitch ¼” seam along long side of sleeve. Turn right side out and press flat. Attach by hand sewing top edge of sleeve to back of quilt, just below the top binding. The length of the sleeve should rest just inside binding on sides of quilt. Also attach by hand the bottom of the sleeve to the quilt back, parallel to the top edge, remembering that a hanging rod will slide through this sleeve to support the quilt. (Note: Additional resources are available online by searching the topic ‘How to add a hanging sleeve to quilt’.)
